At the Imagination Station space within Tūranga (Central Library) there’s heaps of LEGO, and plenty of DUPLO and even a table of Technic. Parents are encouraged to get creative with their kids, but  there is also ample space for adults to sit back and unwind.

It can be busy at the weekends and during the school holidays, but there’s plenty else to do in and around Tūranga such as ride the tram, play at Margaret Mahy playground, or watch the rebuilding of the Cathedral.

This is a really great place to bring kids that are into building and creating, on any day of the week and especially if the weather makes it an inside kind of a day. If you’re there during the school holidays, it’s also worth checking out their range of special LEGO Education classes.

You can take your own food and drink or plan to leave before food is needed as there’s no onsite cafe. If you’re looking for other food options within walking distance to here, try C1 for a meal or snack (including sweet treats) – it’s about a block and a half away. Otherwise Mexico is less than 200 metres away.
