Great place to stop with kids if they need some fresh air during a car journey but you’re not necessarily looking for a full meal. This cafe has a large outdoor courtyard with a sandpit that’s covered if it’s drizzling but not protected if it’s cold. There are clean toilets and reasonable kids’ food. Adult food can be hit and miss and some have complained about the lack of eggs on the breakfast menu! There is counter food but the main menu is limited and quite basic (think soups and toasties). Overall, if you’re stopping for a good feed, you might be better off at Le Cafe Telephonique just down the road but if you’re after a light snack or just drinks and want the kids to play in the sandpit, then this is your better bet.

There’s a gift shop and it’s attached to an outdoor/sports shop if you need any last minute purchases for your trip!
