There’s a lot going on in this reserve with a skatepark, dirt cycle track, a playground and  mini splashpad.

The splashpad makes for good cooling off on a hot day but it is quite small. It’s right next to the playground, so be prepared with togs if you’ve got kids that like water! The playground equipment is good for a range of ages with 2 flying foxes, swings (including one suitable for special needs children and a bucket swing), various ropes for climbing on and a spinning rope structure.

There are also playing fields if you’ve got a ball with you or for a game of tag, flying kites etc. Adult gym equipment is going in around this grassy area. There are water fountains, toilets and car parking near the playground.

This park is just off SH2 so makes a good stopping off place on a journey passing through Central Hawke’s Bay.
