Set in the centre of Havelock North this bright, airy cafe provides delicious food whether you want to sit and enjoy it at a table, or take away from the counter/bakery for a picnic elsewhere. Owned and run by parents to 5 kids, Maina will always be child-friendly.

Food is served most of the day (see opening hours for when they’re closed) for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including a pizza menu kicking in from 11am. GF options are available on request and other dietary requirements will always be catered for where possible. Kids might like to choose something from the counter food, order breakfast from the list of extras or ask about a half portion of a regular menu dish. There are also kids’ choices on the dinner menu.

Highchairs are available, as well as toys and colouring in books. Mums are encouraged to breastfeed unimpeded. Overall, a great choice for lovely food, served in a relaxed atmosphere, where kids are welcomed!
