Luke’s is a bit of an institution in Kuaotunu as, along with the café, there’s also an art gallery and a shop making it a hub for this small community. The café also has a full schedule of live music over the summer months and most weekends throughout the rest of the year. What comes highly recommended is the woodfired pizzas which are made to order but there’s also a selection of counter food and seafood on offer, as well as a brunch menu at the weekends. Across the road from the beach, very relaxed atmosphere and a great family-friendly café. As you’d expect, it gets very busy, so go early to secure yourself a seat and to get your order in or takeaway pizza and eat it on the beach!
