This is a very scenic spot to have lunch or dinner overlooking Lake Onoke, the Rimutuka ranges and out towards the South Island on a clear day. Their claim to fame is to be the southern most hotel on the North Island!

Lunch and dinner are at set times and may vary on quieter days, but there’s a bar menu available all day. You can eat in the dedicated cafe area (during lunch/dinner service), in the bar area or there’s lots of outdoor seating too (most of it’s covered). Bar snacks include burgers, while the lunch and dinner menu might have fish and chips, or whitebait fritters, depending on the season. There’s space outside for kids to run around and explore and a pool table inside which older kids might enjoy.
