Iceinline, Alexandra

Overview

Suitable for all ages

****Closed until winter 2018****

Open in the winter months only, this ice rink claims to be the biggest outdoor rink in the Southern Hemisphere which means there should be plenty of room for novice skaters to learn what to do without getting in everyone’s way!

There is a heated lounge for warming up in, a canteen and a changing room. Wear clothes that are comfortable and warm as this is an outside rink, you need to dress for the weather! Think about bringing a change of trousers for young kids if they’re likely to fall over (and therefore possibly get wet quite a lot). Gloves or mittens are advisable too. Kids should wear helmets – bike helmets are available free of charge.

If you’re looking for an ice rink outside of the winter months, check out the one in Queenstown here.
