Hobsonville Point Coastal Walkway, North West Auckland

Overview

Suitable for all ages

Whether you’re walking, pushing a buggy, scooting or cycling, this coastal walkway is a great place to get outside and burn some energy. The whole walkway is a 4km loop taking in the water, mangroves, native bush and cafes and shops along a promenade. You might want to stop off at the playground (near the corner of Buckley Ave and De Havilland Rd) or go out along the Point to look at the old bomb shelters. See here for a map of the area including the Coastal Walkway, marked orange.

If you’re travelling to the area on a weekday, why not make the trip to get there a fun one and come by ferry? Note: Ferries only operate early mornings and later in the afternoons on weekdays. Check here for ferry information. If you’re there on a Saturday there’s a farmers’ market near the ferry terminal.
