Set a little way out of Wanaka, on the road to Cardrona, as the name suggests, this is a cafe and food shop that comes highly recommended.

Breakfast (served till 11.30am), lunch and morning/afternoon tea are on offer here with many of the food ingredients sourced locally. Seating is both inside and out. It’s set in the Heritage park and the cafe’s garden has a sandpit and toys for the kids to play with while they wait for their for food. Kids’ breakfast menu available. The food shop is a great place to pick up items for a picnic and they also sell ‘home-cooked’ frozen meals.
