This swimming complex, in the Queenstown suburb of Frankton, is usually a hit with kids and generally regarded as the best family friendly pool in the region. Facilities include a 25m lap pool, a separate leisure pool with lazy river (heated to 32 degrees), 2 hydroslides (the faster one has a minimum height restriction of 1.4m), and a toddlers’ area (maximum water depth 50cm) with sprays.

Address: 33 Joe O’Connell Drive, Frankton, Queenstown. The pool is situated within the Queenstown Events Centre, next to the airport and approximately a 10 minute drive from the centre of Queenstown.
Open: daily. Weekdays Pools 6am – 9pm, Hydroslides 4pm – 6.30pm. Weekends & Public Holidays Pools 8am – 8pm, Hydroslides 10.30am – 6.30pm.
Prices: swimming Adult $8, Kids $4, 1 Adult + up to 2 preschoolers (4 and under) $6. Hydroslides $5 per person for unlimited use.
Note that all kids under 3 must wear a swimming nappy and tight fitting swim wear. Take your own or there are reusable and eco-friendly swimming nappies available to buy at reception.
