If your kids love fishing, and you have access to a car, it’s worth a half day trip over to the wharf in Orapiu Bay as there always seem to be plenty of small fish biting. Take your supplies (including fishing gear, food and water) with you as there’s nothing around apart from one toilet at the road end of the wharf!

If you fancy a dip, it’s a good idea to wear shoes as the rocks in the bay are sharp.

Passage Rock Winery is more than likely on your journey there or back and is a great place to stop for a relaxing meal.
