This is a chain restaurant with a branch in Wellington, Christchurch Hamilton and 4 branches in Auckland. The branches in Wellington, Hamilton and Britomart have all been recommended and they offer the same menu and set up and were equally good. The other branches should be too but if you’ve been to the Christchurch one, please tell me about it here.
There’s a varied menu, with some typical and not so familiar Mexican dishes on offer. There are some smaller plates (‘snacks’) which would allow you to sample a few dishes if you wanted or just have as starters followed by a main dish.
There’s a kids’ menu which doubles as an activity page (maze, colouring and word search) and offers simplified dishes from the main menu but without the spice. It seems to be much healthier than your average restaurant (no chips on the menu)!
As well as the activity page and colouring pens, kids were also given a Mexican wrestler mask. There’s also amazing artwork on the walls for kids (and adults) to look at or play eye spy with! Highchairs available.
