This pub, right in the heart of the business area of Wellington CBD, is surprisingly child friendly if you choose the time you’re visiting carefully!

Activities in the form of colouring in help to keep the kids occupied and there’s a small but reasonable kids’ menu which you can look at here. Staff are accommodating of younger diners and happy to take orders for them first while adults might want to linger a little longer over the menu. The regular menu has pub staples like fish and chips, steaks and burgers but there’s also salads, sandwiches and a couple of pizzas.

You probably want to avoid this Irish pub straight after work or on a Friday evening when other clientele might be a little rowdy, but this part of the city can be quieter on a Saturday, especially for an early dinner. They do breakfast and lunch too (although note the later opening time on Saturdays).
