Suitable for all ages depending on how co-ordinated your child is!
Only open in the autumn and winter, this rink has been around for years and the staff are on hand to offer novices tips on how to gain balance and have a good time.
Wear clothes that are comfortable and think about bringing a change of trousers for young kids if they’re likely to fall over (and therefore possibly get wet quite a lot). Gloves or mittens are advisable too. Helmets can be hired (free of charge) at the skate hire. It’s a good idea for children to wear one.
Plastic ride ons are available to hire (see under price) for kids to hold onto or sit on.
You can’t take your own food or drink in, but there is a cafe onsite where non-skaters can sit, so long as kids under 5 are supervised by someone else on the ice.
