Karehana Park, Plimmerton

Overview

Suitable for all ages

This playground was upgraded in 2015 and now boasts all new equipment including a bucket swing, regular swings, climbing ropes, slides of varying length for toddlers and older kids, things to balance on and an obstacle course.

The equipment is in the centre of a scooter/bike path which allows kids to practise their turning and stopping skills along the mini-roads.

There’s an area of grass suitable for running around on but also for practising rugby if you bring a ball as there’s a goal post at one end.

There is a small stream that runs through this park so if your kids are likely to end up wading around in it, you might want to bring gumboots!
